WHERE DO I BELONG? HERE.

THE ALBUM & FILM

This album is an exploration on what it means to grow up first-generation Turkish-Australian.

It features stories both borrowed and my own.

This music was composed with the intention to provide a place of reflection and connection between people of all cultures and experiences – to do my part in fostering understanding, empathy, and celebration of diversity in storytelling.

It features melodies my mother sung to me growing up, a lullaby passed through generations of my family, the feeling of fishing trips with my father, the questions of an only child – and most of all – the love of a family who has been through a lifetime of everything you could imagine.

THE ALBUM FILM

Watch the hour long album film here. It features the lyrics, home videos, footage from my friends and family, as well as the universe. It’s intention is to provide both immediate context, and connection, to the music behind the album.
